Tóm tắt

A survey on the species composition of Atyidae shrimp was conducted in the streams of Xuan Son National Park. The investigation results identified two species of Caridina shrimp within the Atyidae family, namely Caridina lanceifrons and a suspected new species, Caridina sp. Caridina lanceifrons appears in most streams in 3 communes Xuan Son, Dong Son and Kim Thuong, however Caridina sp. only recorded to appear in streams in Xuan Son commune. The research results are valuable information, serving as a basis for using conservation measures, especially for Caridina sp. has some morphological characteristics that are different from species previously described in Vietnam and is suspected to be a new species.
